Our Programs

  • Our Programs

Our aim is to ensure each child is granted the correct approach to learning and development. We believe that learning is both individual and social. Children enjoy participating in ‘hands- on’ and ‘brains-on’ activities. They actively drive their own learning and development, by the choices they make, the interests they develop, the questions they ask, the knowledge they seek, and their motivation to act more competently. Children’s choices and interests are the driving force for building knowledge, skills and understanding: by working and playing with other people, they are constantly learning about themselves and their social and cultural worlds. Children build positive identities through collaborative, caring relationships with other people, by managing and taking risks, ‘having a go’, experiencing success, developing resilience, and developing ‘mastery’ or ‘can-do’ attitudes.

Within our high-quality facility we lay the foundations to ensure your child becomes a lifelong successful learner. We ensure that children feel valued as individuals, safe and cared for. Their individual development are never rushed, but are supported in ways that are right so that they have the opportunity to become deeply involved in their activities and to follow their ideas through.

We also manage the pace of activities and plan interesting new experiences to stimulate learning. With this groundwork in place, it is then were our teachers’ skilled interactions will allow learning to move forward.

  • Our Curriculum

We base our program on the “Birth to Three Matters” framework, for the children under 3 years. It highlights the inter-relationship between growth, learning, development and the environment in which the children are cared for. The framework is based on four “Aspects”: a strong child, a skillful communicator, a competent learner, and a healthy child. The framework identifies the Child’s individual achievements and efforts.

For the children 3 years and above the EYFS (UK, Early Years Foundation Stage) framework is used as our guideline. Our key principle is learning through play. The goal is to develop a unique child, allow them develop positive relationships in life, provide them the best possible enabling environments and understand that each child develops and learns differently. We base our carefully planned activities on the EYFS 7 main areas of learning and development:

As a mum or dad, how can I help with my child’s learning?

All the fun activities that you do with your child at home are important in supporting their learning and development, and have a really long lasting effect on your child’s learning as they progress through school. Even when your child is very young and is not yet able to talk, talking to them helps them to learn and understand new words and ideas. If you make the time every day to do some of the following things with your child it will make a real difference to your child’s confidence as a young learner.

  • Infants: 2 - 12 months

The infants’ section is an independent area, located on the ground floor of the nursery. Individual programs are set up for each child, and home routines are followed to keep the consistency in their lives; opportunities are provided to cater to the overall development of the babies. Outdoors play, story time, music and movement, puppet shows, and sensory and exploratory play are encouraged to develop motor skills.

  • Toddlers: 12 - 24 months

In addition to focused activities, child – initiated play is encouraged. Children with their curious minds learn about themselves and their environment through a variety of topics and they develop language, and gross and fine motor skills enabling them to move about confidently. Through stories, singing and conversation children expand their vocabulary, knowledge and confidence. Sensory play, in the form of sand or water for example, is on offer every day. The children also have the opportunity to take part in craft activities, such as painting or sticking, on a daily basis.

  • Nursery: 2 - 3 years

Independence, love for learning, and role-play are key at this age group. Children learn through role modeling and simulation, and opportunities are provided to help develop their social skills. Interactive music, puppet shows and sing-a-longs are used to help children develop positive attitudes and allow them to enjoy heir learning. We also focus on a child’s individual interests, keeping them interested, motivated and enthusiastic to learn and investigate further. Through messy play, music, cooking, and creative crafts are some of the fundamental activities used to enrich this stage.

  • Foundation Stage (FS1): 3 years +

The children are provided with opportunities to ensure emotional well being, help them know themselves and learn what they are capable of. Children are encouraged to discover their world, find out about their part in it and explore different cultures. Children are motivated and encouraged the to learn and build on their existing knowledge and skills. Independence and using appropriate behavior s highly encouraged. At this point we aim to prepare children for a smooth transition into ‘big school’ by focusing on important early reading, writing and math skills.
